Types of Wax Warmers

In this blog post, we will discuss the two main types of wax warmers or burners: electric wax melters and tealight wax burners. We'll also explain what a wax warmer or burner is and how they work.

When using Violet Matters wax melts, we recommend using electric wax warmers as they are the safest option in our opinion. They can be easily found at major Australian retailers and are reasonably priced. Tealight wax burners are a more economical option and can be purchased from a variety of Australian retailers. However, it's important to exercise extreme caution when using anything that involves an open flame. Never leave melts unattended in a tealight burner and make sure to read and understand the wax melt care card that we provide before using our wax melts.

Our 100% natural soy wax melts come in a "clam shell" that holds 6 scented wax cubes. To use them, you simply need to pop out a cube of wax (which may require some effort - be sure to check out our instructional video on how to open a tough clam shell) and place it in your chosen wax warmer or melter. Depending on the type of melter or warmer you use, you should be able to smell the fragrance throughout your room within about 10 minutes. Most melt warmers and burners are effective in distributing scent throughout a small to medium sized room. However, it's important to note that some super strong fragrances like gardenia are best suited for larger spaces and may overwhelm a small room.
